Updated 01-31-2019 – New evaluation, new pros and cons
So maybe good things do come in small packages.
Sure Patriot Power Greens may not be in a jar the size of a Volkswagen. It may not be 150 calories per serving.
But it is a well made, comprehensive green drink powder that has an intelligent blend of sea vegetables, land vegetables, fruits and berries. And don’t forget the probiotics and digestive enzymes.
Read this Patriot Power Greens review and decide for yourself if this unique green drink makes your cut.
Superfoods & Nutrition
Let’s break it down. Each serving is going to give you around 5 grams of organic superfoods. Now my first thought is, this is a little on the low side. I review green drinks that have 3 times that amount per serving. And, generally, they cost three times as much.
But I like what’s in the 5 grams… a lot.
I’m talking about organic spirulina, organic seaweed (Kombu, Nori, Wakame), organic apple, kale, spinach, broccoli, carrot, parsley, beet, cabbage, tomato, blueberry raspberry and strawberry.
PLUS… Goji and Acai berries!
This is a solid blend of some of the best-known heroes of the superfoods world and all 100% organic. I love, love, love the organic berries, as these foods are widely believed to be the most antioxidant rich foods in existence.
And Chicory Inulin?? At first I was at a loss. Patriot Power Greens has more of this little-known superfood than any other ingredient in the formula. But I had to do some research because honestly? I had no idea why they put this in the powder.
So I Googled, and read, and what I read about Chicory Root was impressive to say the least.
I won’t write a dissertation on Chicory. You have Google too or you wouldn’t be reading this. In a nutshell, Chicory Root (Inulin) is like killing four birds with one stone.
-It is an awesome blood and liver cleanser
-It is chock full of antioxidants
-It is loaded with soluble fiber (inulin)
-It supports Digestive Health overall
In addition to all these marvelous superfoods, Patriot Power Greens, like many green drinks, does contain a healthy dose of probiotics and digestive enzymes.
Listen, I review green drinks that have over 10-12 grams of superfoods per serving and PPG has only 5 grams. But again, love the blend, love the decision to go organic, and love the Chicory root. And remember, you are paying far less for PPG than others.
Taste and Value
Ding, Ding, Ding… we have a winner. This stuff tastes awesome. Kind of fruity and sweet. They didn’t go heavy with the grasses like wheatgrass and the reason is fairly obvious… the taste of Patriot Power Greens is quite literally… well… GOOD!
So let’s talk value…
Let me get down to the brass tacks… if you buy a 1-month supply you’re going to pay over $1.50 per serving. Not ridiculous, but not the best bargain either.
If you buy the whopper package of 5 jars (5-month supply) you get 2 jars free. That brings the cost down to under a buck a serving. And honestly, if you’re taking a green drink everyday, why wouldn’t you buy a 5-month supply to get a couple months free?
- Awesome superfoods with an emphasis on berries
- EVERYTHING is organic
- Chicory? Yeah, I didn’t know either but now I do and it’s a good thing
- You can get 2 months free with the Buy-Five-At-A-Pop-Package
- Tastes as good or better than any green powder drink I’ve tried
- 5 Grams Per Serving is on the low side
- No grasses (why it tastes so darn good)
Let’s talk about cars for a minute. Yeah, cars. If you have 8 kids, you’re not going to get a Porsche Boxter as your family car. If you have no kids, you’re probably not going to get a Ford Excursion.
If you want to lose weight, want a meal replacement, want a green drink powder that has everything but the kitchen sink in it, Patriot Power Greens isn’t for you. Go for Athletic Greens or Shakeology.
If you want a thoughtful, healthy, organic, green powder drink, that costs a lot less, and one that has some unique ingredients, Patriot Power Greens is a great choice.
