Grown American Superfood Review
Grown American Superfood is a product of the Van Drunen Farms. Sourced from local farms, Grown American Superfood is produced without the use of pesticides or GMOs. It is all organic.
In our Grown American Superfood review, we will take a closer look at this superfood drink and decide if the value is good for the consumer. They claim that you can take just one scoop of Grown American Superfood and exponentially boost your health.
But is that true?
This product could be good, but there are too many cons, such as the manufacturer themselves. While there are a lot of Youtube videos claiming this product is amazing, they all sound overly rehearsed.

About Grown American
The product of passionate farmers, Grown American depends on their perception as passionate farmers to sell their products. And free trials. For the sake of honesty, it should be noted that consumers have complained over this company’s billing practices. This has to do with the Grown American’s “free trial” sales pitch located on their website. If this is a concern, the product is available on Amazon whereas the manufacturer’s billing setup does not exist. Additionally, a lot of their Youtube reviews sound like forced hostage videos.
Here was one of their television spots. I mean, seriously?
And then there are the cringe worthy Youtube reviews posted on their website…
Grown American Superfood Ingredients
Grown American Superfood Ingredients markets itself as having over 30 superfood ingredients. In terms of reality, the product most certainly does not let down. Grown American Superfood uses four different superfood categories. All of their ingredients are pesticide free as well as organic.
This blend is composed of Kale, Spinach, Wheatgrass, Barley grass, and Alfalfa grass. The category is chock-full of the top, highest-quality leafy greens you can find. Kale and spinach are often reported as the absolute healthiest plants on earth you can eat. While spinach may be decent to eat with a salad, kale is no walk in the park for the palate or even for some people’s digestion. Having it broken down and coexisting with a blend of other powerful fruits and vegetables help the taste and break down of it. Spinach is full of iron and calcium, bot essential nutrients. The three grasses are incredibly powerful superfoods in their own right. Wheatgrass is great for digestion while alfalfa grass is known to help people suffering from osteoarthritis, asthma, and rheumatoid arthritis.
This blend is composed of Blueberry, Strawberry, Cranberry, Orange, Cherry, Lemon, Pear, and apples. Not only is this the blend responsible for giving Grown American Superfood a berry-esq taste, but it is also antioxidant heaven. Antioxidants fight free radicals that can often propel degenerative diseases. Cranberries, although known widely for their ability to cure a urinary tract infection, are also wonderful at lowering blood pressure. Strawberries and oranges and lemons are loaded with vitamin C, which helps to boost your immune system.
This blend is made up of Broccoli, Celery, Brussel Sprouts, Carrot, Green Bell Pepper, and Pumpkin. Yes, the pumpkin is a vegetable. The seeds of pumpkin are known to be wonderful sources of omega 3 fatty acid. They are also loaded with vitamin C and potassium, among numerous other benefits. Broccoli is one of your best vitamin K and vitamin C sources. Brussel sprouts are incredible for the body’s largest organ, the skin.
This blend has Amaranth, Quinoa, Millet, Buckwheat, Garbanzo Bean, Lentil, Adzuki, Flax, Sunflower, Pumpkin, Chia and Sesame seeds. Flax seeds are a good source of omega 3 fatty acids. Quinoa is a decent protein and an even better fiber. Lentils are another great source of fiber, plus, they promote energy in the body. Millet contains essential B vitamins as well as zinc and potassium.
Grown American Superfood definitely has the organic superfood ingredient angle covered. In terms of immune system boosting, this formula is good to go. But its a bit short in the area of fiber, protein, probiotics, and enzymes, that we like to see in a hyped up superfood drink.
Calculating the value of Grown American Superfood is no easy task. Their website claims a free trial, but what that rebills into seems to be up for debate (unhappily) by consumers. They advertise a month container available at a price of $99.90 on their website. I’ve seen it on Amazon for closer to $80.
At $99, for a 30 day supply, you’d be paying over $3 per serving. The serving sizes are 8 grams each.
Considering this isn’t a meal replacement drink due to lacking protein, there is hardly any fiber, there are no probiotics, this is a terrible value. This nears rip-off class, in all honesty.
Grown American Superfood Taste
It taste like grass, which isn’t good. Sometimes health doesn’t exactly taste great, though.
Grown American Superfood Nutrition
This is mainly an immune booster that’s loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants.
Lots of vitamin C and all organic, Grown American Superfood can certainly help you defeat cold and flu season. The inclusion or grasses and sprouts is solid.
First and formost, the company has a reputation for scammy free trial billing, so buyer beware. The taste is very grassy. The serving sizes compared to the overall cost of the product is completely unimpressive. It can’t be used as a meal replacement drink. There are no probiotics.
I would recommend avoiding Grown American Superfood at all cost. You could get Kylea’s Total Drink Living Greens for nearly the same cost and in that case, you get a full on meal replacement drink. Grown American advertises in a savvy manner, but the claims can’t be backed up by the product. It cost way too much for what you end up getting.
