About Garden Of Life
What’s there to say? Garden of Life is one of America’s biggest brands, even beyond the supplement industry. Their products are found on the shelves of pharmacies, Costco, Walmarts, and in most all online supplement destinations. They have celebrity backings such as the notoriously healthy Alicia Silverstone. They are trustworthy, have impeccable customer service, and provide quality products.
Below is one of Garden of Life’s “empowering” style videos that they use to represent their brand’s clean living lifestyle.
Garden of Life Perfect Food Berry Ingredients
Garden of Life Perfect Food Berry ingredients is as comprehensive as any berry superfood drink on the market. One of the big benefits here is that while Garden of Life certainly focuses on the berry aspect of the ingredients (as they should, considering the name “Perfect Food Berry”), the drink is loaded with green veggies, fermented grasses, and probiotics.
Superfoods
For “superfoods” in the traditional, mainstream way, Perfect Food Berry relies heavily on three blends.
- Perfect Green Juice Blend
- Proprietary Whole Food Berry Antioxidant Blend
- Perfect Veggie Blend
The juice blend is composed of several grasses such as barley grass, alfalfa grass, wheat grass, and oat grass. You get 2.8 grams of grassy greatness per serving. Grasses are an extremely healthy ingredient that is linked to a variety of benefits, such as the lowering of inflammation and improved digestive health. Barley grass is famous for helping to influence healthy cholesterol numbers. Alfalfa is loaded with iron, potassium, zinc, and calcium. Oat grass is amazing for the eyes with its high beta-carotene content. It also boasts a number of B vitamins.
The whole food berry blend is the blend that serves as the core competency of Perfect Food Berry’s ingredients, mostly due to the fact that Perfect Food Berry is relying on people who love berry taste to purchase it. The blueberry, blackberry, acerola cherry, and raspberry are among the staples of this blend. All of these berries are loaded with antioxidants and essential vitamins. With the exception of the blackberry, all of these berries also fuel the “berry taste” of Perfect Food Berry.
This is a great lineup, blackberries contain vital anthocyanins which are some of the most potent antioxidants known to man. Some people feel the “berry aspect” of Perfect Food Berry is a bit slim. But I disagree. Perfect Food Berry just has so many other ingredients and bigger blends that the berry blend looks smaller than it is. Also, berry flavors are potent, you don’t need a lot of them to make a difference in taste.
The veggie blend is deep with all types of veggies on the famous healthy color spectrum. We have beets, carrots, cauliflower, spinach, ginger, broccoli and even celery among some of the most notable ingredients. In total, you get 16 diverse vegetables in the Perfect Food Berry’s veggie blend.
Beets are well-known for enhancing brain health. Carrots are amazing for the immune system and eyes. Spinach is one of the most reputable superfoods on earth.
Protein
Garden of Life has several sources of vegan protein in its blend. Spirulina, Chlorella, red algae, and kelp. These are proteins/superfoods, technically. You get 2.1 grams of this health infusion per serving. Spirulina is loaded with B vitamins while Chlorella is a potent weight loss stimulator and blood detoxifier.
Fermented Whole Foods
The Fermented Whole Food Matrix in Perfect Food Berry could be my favorite part of this berry superfood powder. It’s literally loaded with 740 mg of fermented whole foods per serving. Barley grass, oat grass (both of these are already in the juice blends in juice formats), quinoa, buckwheat, garbanzo beans, Brussel sprouts, and asparagus are a few of the core fermented whole foods in this blend.
Garbanzo beans are powerful sources of both molybdenum and manganese, while also having a good amount of copper, zinc, phosphorous and so much more. While quinoa is sometimes laughed out of the building due to being so incredibly trendy, there is no denying that this South American sprouted grain has some amazing benefits with B vitamins and iron.
Fermented foods promote gut and brain health.
Probiotics
Like fermented foods, probiotics can vastly improve your overall gut and brain health by balancing healthy intestinal bacteria. Many of us have been overexposed to poor modern dietary influences and even overconsumption of antibiotics. Probiotics can help restore the gut’s healthy bacteria balance, which has been shown to improve symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Perfect Food Berry’s probiotic blend is non-dairy and certainly ramps up the overall value of the product.

You get 8 grams per serving. Each Perfect Food Berry container has 30 servings. One Perfect Food Berry container will cost you $41.52. Garden of Life has slashed out a price point of $51.99, but I think its safe to assume that’s more of a sales tactic and the $41.52 is the true, sticking price of concern here.
This comes out to a mere .72 cents per serving. The 8-gram serving size, while not the best, is pretty good. At .72 cents, you definitely come out winning in the value area. Now, it’s important to understand that Perfect Food Berry isn’t a meal replacement drink, so have some eggs or tofu on hand, whichever you prefer. In other words, you still need to eat meals as scheduled, so that will cost some. But Perfect Food Berry is an outstanding value buy.
Garden of Life Perfect Food Berry Taste
There is a hint of grassy, I just picked my garden, in Perfect Food Berry taste. Its no big deal, though, the berries that are present in the formula are very pronounced. I enjoy drinking it. I enjoy it, even more, knowing that I’m getting way more than just berries.
Garden of Life Perfect Food Berry Nutrition
Perfect Food Berry is loaded with superfoods, but the core competency seems to be on sprouted whole foods and superfood veggies. The berries offer a ton of antioxidant infusion. Perfect Food Berry is an antioxidant dream that is sure to improve your gut health.
Good
Absolutely loaded, comprehensive and value-driven, Perfect Food Berry is a true winner among the budget-oriented superfood drink options. The serving sizes are pretty good and the price per serving at .72 cents is spectacular. Perfect Food Berry tastes sweet enough to cover up the grassy aspect of the blend.
Bad
A bit thin on protein, you can’t use Perfect Food Berry as a meal replacement drink. The probiotic contents are a little shabby, also.
Summary
You’d have a tough time finding a more diverse superfood drink formula than Perfect Food Berry. You’d have a tougher time finding a more value-driven one, as well. Garden of Life is as trusted of a brand as any we’ve ever reviewed. Their products are often readily available at drugs stores and grocery stores. This affordable berry superfood drink is a hands-down winner.
