ActivatedYou Morning Complete Green Drink Review
With so many different health drinks on the market, how do you know which one is right for you? Does it taste good? Does it actually work? These are things we want to know before we buy! Let’s take a look in this ActivatedYou Morning Complete review… a wellness product that seems to be gaining quite a bit of attention.
About ActivatedYou
The very first thing you’ll notice when landing on the ActivatedYou website is their promise to you. All of their products are plant based, environmentally sustainable, and scientifically proven. It’s good to see companies that are well branded, and stand behind their values. Not only that but it’s pretty simple to navigate their website.
The ActivatedYou audience seems to be those looking for a fast and efficient way to take their nutrients daily. They have 4 different blends on their website GI Prime, AdrenaLife, Advanced Restorative Probiotic, and Morning Complete.
The ActivatedYou founder is a wellness advocate and actress who has rooted the brand with a holistic traditional medicine approach to a healthier lifestyle. The ActivatedYou company also supports a charity known as The Unstoppable Foundation, which is a means to help children secure an education all around the world.
Enough about the company, let’s take a closer look at Morning Complete. What’s in the blend? How does it taste? Does it work?
Morning Complete Ingredients
I have to say, at first glance this blend is a little disappointing, and for a number of reasons. First we’ll mention the serving size.
7.6 grams is an extremely small portion, and it’s hard to think that an amount like that would be enough of any ingredient for your daily portion, unless of course it was a concentrated supplement. I’ll dive deeper into this in a section below, so keep reading.
It’s obvious, like other companies in this market, Morning Complete by ActivedYou has fallen into the typical trap of including a plethora of ingredients in such small amounts, It’s hard to say whether it can actually make a difference in your daily nutrition.
The second issue I have with Morning Complete is that they do not list any of the ingredient amounts, and are hidden in proprietary blends.
What exactly does that mean? It means you don’t actually know how much of the ingredient is in a single serving. Look closer at their label broken down below.
Single Serving: 7.6 grams
- Green Superfood Blend – 735mg: Broccoli, spinach, mulberry leaf extract, kale, alfalfa leaf, berberine HCI, and barley grass.
- High Fiber and Prebiotic Blend – 4.05g: Cinnamon bark, Chicory root.
- Antioxidants Blend – 100mg: Pomegranate fruit extract, lycium berry, polygonum cuspidatum root extract.
- Metabolic Enhancing Blend – 390mg: Ginger root, green tea leaf extract, white tea leaf extract, black pepper, bitter melon fruit extract, and turmeric root extract.
- Sugar Balancing – 100mg: Fennel seed, gymnema sylvestre leaf, pine bark extract.
- Adaptogens – 55mg: Rhodiola rosea root extract, astragalus root extract, and DIM (diindolylmethane).
- Probiotics – 10 billion CFUs: L. plantarum, B. coagulans, l. Rhamnosus, L. gasseri, B. bifidum, L. acidophilus, B. longum, S. thermophilus, and L. casei.
- Liver Support and Cellular Function – 30mg: Milk thistle seed, organic aloe vera leaf.
Guar gum, rice hull concentrate, citric acid, monk fruit extract and natural flavors are also included in this blend.
Does ActivateYou Morning Complete Work?
Whether or not Morning Complete actually works is difficult to say. On their website, they claim the following are all the health advantages you can expect from Morning Complete:
- Built to help support a total-person wellness, which includes sugar levels, healthy digestion, energy, liver function, and more.
- It’s loaded with healthy greens, probiotics, antioxidants, and fiber, packed with vital nutrients to fuel your day.
In order to get a better idea on how, or why they would make these claims, I dove deeper into the ingredients to figure out how they might support them.
The Morning Complete blend contains the highest amount of its ingredients in fiber (4.05 grams), which is great, and probably the strongest selling point. Along with the fiber, Morning Complete’s 10 billion CFUs of probiotics can be great for your gut.
Here’s the problem…The superfood section and Metabolic blend are very small (735 mg) and (390 mg). This suggests that with all of the ingredients added to each of these proprietary blends, it’s hard to believe that you’re getting enough nutrients from each ingredient for it to have a noticeable effect.
For example, you should be taking 1 to 3 grams of ginger root daily in order to have any effects on digestive health, according to Examine.com.
How Does Morning Complete Taste?
I haven’t personally tasted this product, but from other reviews that I’ve read, it seems to have a Cinnamon-Apple flavor. This is actually quite intriguing, considering you don’t see too many flavors like that in superfood drinks or green drinks.
Beyond that, it seems like most enjoy how it tastes, and just for the flavor, I would be willing to try this.
ActivatedYou Morning Complete Side Effects
Like any other superfood blend, supplement drink, or any dietary supplement for that matter, I would always inspect the label carefully. You never know what’s hiding in a blend that you may have allergies or sensitivities to.
Because Morning Complete is high in fiber, you may experience some discomfort in your gut, but this should dissipate over time, and more regular use of the product.
Is Morning Complete Worth the Price?
If you’re like me, then the very first thing you would do is break down the label of this product. Morning Complete has 7.6 grams of nutrition in each serving, but as soon as I see the label, and the ingredients hidden inside of proprietary blends, I get a little discouraged.
Knowing how much of each ingredient is critical to knowing whether you’re getting the daily nutrition you need.
30 servings of Morning Complete retails for $80 on their website (one month supply). You do have the option to save some money by buying 3 jars for $213, or 6 jars for $403. This seems like a pretty big investment for a mediocre product.
Compared to similar products on the market, Morning Complete is definitely on the higher priced end of the spectrum. If you are looking for a product that is loaded with fiber, and may help your digestive health, then Morning Complete may be right for you to try.
There are plenty of other powerful drinks on the market such as Kylea Total Living Drink, which gives you a much better value per serving.
Final Thoughts
Even though I was intrigued by the way that ActivatedYou approached the supplement world with their holistic view of medicine, I still wasn’t convinced that this product was worth it.
Because the ingredients are hidden in blends, and there are no listed amounts of each ingredient, it’s difficult to get behind this product.
The one good thing about this product, according to other consumers, is that it tastes pretty good.
