Activa Naturals Greens Superfood Review

Activa Naturals Premium Greens Superfood ReviewActiva Naturals Premium Greens Superfood Review

I’m going to start this Activa Naturals Greens Superfood review by boldly stating that this drink does not fall into my top 10 superfood green drink reviews list because it simply isn’t robust and nutrient dense enough to warrant such a prestigious inclusion (wow, reach out and touch my snobbery). It isn’t a big dog like Kylea’s Total Living Drink Greens is, but, in fairness, that isn’t the point of Activa Naturals Greens Superfood. It isn’t trying to be a big dog, it’s trying to appeal to the budget-minded folks who don’t want to spend $80 on a green drink. They are willing to sacrifice a little nutrient density as a way to save some cash. There is no shame in such a game at all.

Activa Naturals Company

Activa Naturals was started by a fine gentleman and scholar named Jay Author. I really don’t know if he is a scholar, per se, but judging from his picture, he sure seems like a fine man.

Guy seems legit, no? And he has a cute darn dog. Author says that his wife falling ill inspired him to go into the natural supplement business. He believes strongly in no fillers and no additives, he aims for a clean experience in his supplements. And Greens Superfood is no exception to his philosophy.

Activa Naturals Greens Superfood Ingredients

Foods Blend

WheatGrass: WheatGrass is one of the most popular “health shots” on the market. It’s trendy, but that’s ok because it is loaded with vegan protein, B-Complex and vitamin A.

Barley Grass: Potassium, Magnesium, and calcium are well-supported by Barley Grass. Like wheatgrass, it also serves up some solid B-Complex.

Alfalfa: Many people with asthma and rheumatoid arthritis use alfalfa to help reduce their symptoms. Alfalfa grass has a wealth of iron and potassium and calcium.

Spirulina: An often forgotten superfood, Spirulina is loaded with phytonutrients such as carotenoids. It also has almost three times the beta-carotene as a carrot. You can “see” how this would be a good daily inclusion, can’t you? (sorry, pun totally intended because beta-carotene is amazing for eye health).

Spinach: It isn’t much of a secret that Popeye the Sailorman ate loads of spinach and became a prolific bicep flexer as well as ended up getting the girl of his dreams. It was likely due to all that iron! Spinach is arguably the most potent superfood on earth.

Chlorella: Chlorella is known as a detoxifier. This is because it can bind to heavy metals, which we are constantly absorbing through the air we breath and the food we eat. Heavy metal intake is hardly preventable, which is why chlorella is a superb ingredient to get on the daily.

Antioxidants Blend

Acai: Free radicals are the devil when it comes to poor skin health and allowing for cancer cells to replicate. Acai berries are the most antioxidant loaded berries on earth. Trendy? They are, but they are no fad.

Maca: Did you know that maca contains around 20 amino acids? Did you know that its one of the premier sources of fatty acids? Don’t short sell this superfood, it’s as potent as any.

Carrot: As we age, our vision often becomes compromised. It’s important that we get enough beta-carotene in our diets to help keep our vision healthy. You just can’t go wrong with carrots.

Beet: You really can’t “beet” this stuff. Potassium, vitamin C, fiber, and a root vegetable that helps fight for healthy births of babies!

Raspberry: Again with the vitamin C, but also in with the quercetin. Quercetin is a flavonoid antioxidant which wages war against free radicals.

Goji Berries: A bigtime antioxidants source. This is a super dense nutrient experience. Obviously, its also one of the most popular superfoods sold today.

EFA Fiber Blend

Flaxseed Powder: Not only are flaxseeds an amazing fiber source, but they also offer up omega 3 fatty acids. Most people who suffer from inflammation have an unhealthy balance of omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids. Too many people have too much omega 6 and not enough omega 3. Flaxseed can help.

Apple Pectin Fiber: This is a water-soluble fiber that is scientifically proven to help lower cholesterol.

Digestive Enzyme & Active Culture Pre & Probiotic Blend

The addition of probiotics such as Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Protease truly enhance the value of Active Naturals Greens Superfood ingredients. Probiotics will be able to feed off the resistant starches found in some of the fiber sources you are getting with this powder supplement.

Active Naturals Greens Superfood powder also uses Peppermint and Monk Fruit for flavors to help sweeten the taste up.

So what type of value do Active Naturals Greens Superfood buyers get? I’ve got you covered.

When you buy Active Naturals Greens Superfood Powder, you get a 30 day supply. Per serving, you end up with 8 grams. The lowest price I’ve commonly found this superfood powder is roughly $19. Given that as the price, a single serving comes out to .63 cents. This value output immediately classifies Active Naturals Greens Superfood in the “economic buy” category. The 8 grams per serving, however, is the top end of the economic value scale. In other words, given the economic buy aspect of this powder, it’s a good buy. It’s just not an overly potent superfood powder option. If you are on a budget, however, this could be one of your better choices.

Activa Naturals Greens Superfood Taste

Hands down, Activa Naturals Greens Superfood Taste is quite good and better than most. They do use some natural sweetener to effectively help their taste profile, but nothing absurdly bad for you. If you are a low-carber, you might not be willing to trade your daily carb limits for increased taste, you kind of have to approach that negotiation with your own wants and needs.

Activa Naturals Greens Superfood Nutrition

The nutrition density is good for a budget minded green superfood drink. You won’t break the bank and you will get a lot of quality ingredients. And you also get some vital probiotics. You don’t get the potency you would get from a big green drink, but paying less and being price-conscious, I assume you already get that.

Good

Loaded with solid nutrient density and includes fiber and probiotics. You also get some omega 3 fatty acids. The price is low, the serving sizes are up, the ingredients are all organic.

Bad

You save money, but you sacrifice potency. If you don’t mind paying more for a more robust green drink experience, do it. Otherwise, enjoy the savings you get with Activa Naturals Greens Superfood.

Summary

Activa Naturals Greens Superfood wins when compared to other budget green drinks, but fails to meet a high enough standard for inclusion on my top 10 superfood green drink reviews list. This comes down to what you want to spend, if that number is lower, this is a great health supplement option for you. Otherwise, you are missing out on nutrient potency by purchasing a cheaper experience which saves on serving sizes. You can’t go wrong with this supplement. In the end, you are getting healthier by including it.
